No two performances of Eternity were ever quite the same, as the stage makeup for Bluedot changed every day. Over six months, I documented all seventeen of Tae Yul’s performances as Bluedot in the musical Eternity. Since photography was not permitted, I relied entirely on my memory, recreating the details of his eye makeup after each show. What began as a way to remember my favourite moments gradually became a long-term project of preserving something that was never meant to last. These seventeen drawings are my attempt to give ‘eternity’ to seventeen otherwise non-eternal moments.
